Thrive Conversation – May 2020

21 May 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm BST
Zoom

Topic - Future Present Leadership. Hosted by Kyle Newman and Melanie Sears

This month's Thrive Conversation will focus on exploring the skills and presence needed to lead in this new, uncertain and unpredictable reality. We will explore how to powerfully hold the leadership lenses of both present and future. Whilst the current environment often requires to be very focused on the 'now' and the details, it is also important as leaders that we maintain connection to the vision and possibility for the future. How do we hold on to hope and possibility when so much seems unclear and uncertain, when it often feels difficult to see beyond next week, let alone next month, or next year? Through a collaborative conversation we will explore ways to stay firmly anchored in both the present and future so that we can make a profound impact and be part of creating a better future.

Thrive Virtual Connect – Dancing with the Dark and the Light

18 June 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm BST
Zoom

Topic - Dancing with the Dark and the Light. Hosted by Kyle Newman and Carmen Westbrook.

This Virtual Connect Thrive Conversation will focus on exploring duality and paradox. These seemingly opposites exist together - in the same space. This dualism is represented in the symbol of the Tao. Describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. Through a collaborative conversation we will explore ways to dance with these energies of both dark and light so that we can fluidly navigate the duality that exists in the world as we work to create a better future.

Thrive Virtual Connect – Navigating Polarity

14 July 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm BST
Zoom

Topic - Navigating Polarity. Hosted by Kyle Newman and Carmen Westbrook.

This Virtual Connect Thrive Conversation will focus on exploring Polarity. When challenging issues arise, they often tend to polarise into two seemingly opposites, creating tension and stress. There are many examples of this - especially in respect to big issues. How do we find common ground, make progress? How do we transform that tension into a positive driving force? Through a collaborative conversation we will explore ways to navigate and dance with these seemingly opposing views and energies? Polarity can bring energy to a cause, but also stuckness/rigidity. We will examine ways to navigate polarity and harness that energy into forward movement and systemic change, to convert a vicious cycle into a benefit for all. How do we work with polarity in a way that invites transformation and fuels the evolution of humanity?

20 August 2020 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm BST
Zoom

Topic - Co-Creating the New Normal. Hosted by Kyle Newman and Carmen Westbrook.

This Virtual Connect Thrive Conversation will focus on exploring how we co-create the 'new normal'. You'll no doubt have hear this phrase many, many times in recent months, but what does it really mean, and more importantly - what is the new normal that we want to envision and create? You will have the opportunity to share what you have planned both personally, and professionally, for your 'new normal' and we will explore what we want to co-create as a collective and where the personal and the collective meet. We'll also dive into what both our hopes and fears are for this 'new normal' and how we go about implementing / manifesting our 'new normal'. As change agents, now is perhaps the best opportunity in our lifetime to seed the changes we want to see in the world...

Thrive Virtual Connect – Taking a Stand & Speaking Up

24 September 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm BST
Zoom

Topic - Taking a Stand & Speaking Up. Hosted by Kyle Newman and Carmen Westbrook.

This Virtual Connect Thrive Conversation will focus on exploring how we find our voice and take a stand as we co-create the ‘new normal’. At this time in history our voices are needed more than ever. As leaders, it is important to have a stake, and be clear what we stand for, then from that place we can engage to lead and create change. Finding our voice and speaking up can be challenging though. When we stick our head above the parapet and speak out truth, we can both inspire change, and encounter resistance. How do we take a stand for the things that we care about in a way that creates resonance and invites others to join us? How do we respond to criticism, judgement, abuse, trolling, etc that we might experience as we take our stand. How can we invite curiosity rather than increase polarisation? We’ll be diving into these questions and many more!
